Free upgrade ended. So users need to purchase Windows 10 if they are upgrading from windows 7 and windows 8.1 to the windows 10 Anniversary update. If you have valid windows 10 product key, they can upgrade using the media creation tool on the software download site. They will be prompted for the product key.
If users have Windows 7 or Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 PRO and have a Windows 10 Home key, they can still upgrade but only their data would be migrated. Apps would nt be migrated, and users would need to re-install these apps after they upgraded.

Open Settings  > System > About
you will get the version 1607 for Anniversary update
Either you will get Version 1511 for the November 2015 update.
Either it will have no version information : that means you are running RTM version of Windows 10.
You can also check through click on Start > type Winver > Select WinVer and check the Version field. The Version should be 1607 for Windows Anniversary Update

• Check : Windows Update : Some users will see Version 1607 as an update , which needs to be download and install
Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates



Then Click on Restart now.



Then your system will restart and you will have Windows 10 Anniversary update.
